Damilare Alabi is a Nigerian entrepreneur, women’s empowerment advocate, and health enthusiast known for building and exiting high-impact ventures. Her multi-sector experience spans finance, sports betting, real estate, and social impact, with a proven track record of launching, scaling, and exiting successful ventures.
A proud alumna of the University of Ibadan, she graduated in 2005 as the second-best student in the Department of Geology. She began her professional career with Guaranty Trust Bank in 2006, gaining hands-on experience in finance and customer service.
In January 2009, Damilare co-founded Nairabet, Nigeria’s first online sports betting company. As Managing Director, she was instrumental in developing the brand, driving strategy, and leading its growth into one of the most recognized digital platforms in the country. Under her leadership, the company processed annual stake volumes in the multi-billion naira range, reinforcing its position as a major player in the industry. She oversaw the company from start-up to scale, and in July 2021, successfully led its transition to new management following a business sale. Her leadership in the sports betting industry showcases her ability to innovate, execute, and lead in highly competitive and regulated sectors.
A lifelong learner committed to personal growth and continuous development, Damilare has earned several professional certifications across industries. She holds notable credentials from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, which sharpened her expertise in executive leadership and strategic operations. She also holds multiple certifications from the iGaming Academy, specializing in Sportsbook Management and Betting Operations, highlighting her operational expertise and leadership skills in the digital gaming space.
Today, her focus is on creating access, equity, and empowerment. She leads Blue Credit Investment Limited, a financial services company that supports small businesses and traders through accessible financing. She is also the founder of the DearDammy Women’s Initiative (DDWIN), a non-profit dedicated to advancing women’s financial education and economic empowerment. Through DDWIN, she launched The Growth Loop, an innovative interest-free loan model that redistributes millions of Naira in capital among women in a continuous, sustainable cycle of support.
